Takegashima hangs off the southern tip of Tokushima, joined to the mainland by a bridge. Fishing is the whole point of the place, but the reason visitors come is the water: a marine museum, a glass-bottom boat, sea kayaks and snorkelling over coral where clownfish live at the northern edge of their range.

Getting there
Bus from JR Mugi Station about 40 min, or from Shishikui Station (Asa Coast Railway) about 9 min, to Takegashima.
