The Yoshino River has cut Oboke and Koboke gorges through hard crystalline schist, leaving pale rock walls above green water. A short sightseeing boat runs from the riverside; rafting companies use the same stretch. In early May hundreds of koinobori carp streamers hang across the gorge.

Getting there
JR Oboke Station (about 1 h 15 min from Tokushima by limited express via Awa-Ikeda; about 1 h from Kōchi). Boat pier and michi-no-eki are a short walk or one bus stop away.
